Toddler thrush

Wondering if anyone has any advice, just noticed at bath time today that DD seems to have a mild thrush - probably caused by the fact that she just has to wear tights, and at nursery wants to go to the toilet by herself with no help or people present whatsoever so may not get wiped properly. Other than getting her to wear loose trousers what to do re the desire to wipe independently?

Would she wear long socks with a skirt. Knickers with a cotton gusset and a reminder to wipe/dab afterwards. Do the nursery usually help her in the toilet or is she ok on her own. I would give tights, leggings and jeans/trousers a miss for a few days and a gentle reminder each day to wipe/dry the way you have shown her. Canestan cream on her outside bits will be ok.

Also steer clear of bubble bath, permanently. It's horrendous for exacerbating thrush.

Perhaps try some wet wipes so at least she is wiping away the wee so its doesn't make it more sore. Also avoid tights - no reason why she can't wear trousers like the boys.
