Posted this in allergies but no replies so maybe better here. Ds1 (7) has possible sn (sensory seeking, possible others awaiting referral) he seems to have allergy problems too but not sure whats what, since he was 2/3 hes had a year round runny nose and sore eyes. His nose is always green on one side i thought maybe a dust allergy as its all year, we have no pets but hes tried 2 antihistamines that didnt do anything and doctors hoped he would grow out of it but he hasnt. Most recently hes had nasonex spray that worked for a week and then stopped doing anything, gp said if this didnt work then he would be referred to ENT but any ideas what could cause this? his optician seen scaring on the corneas of both eyes but didnt know what was causing it possible allergy. He also develops hives badly in the sunlight on any skin uncovered, anti histamine used to work for this but seems to less each year, his eyes are also sensitive to the sun and he hides from it if he can. He has a frequent daily cough and throat clearing but not sure if thats down to sensory stimming or health related, he also snores really badly poor lad seems uncomfortable year round anyone have similar experiance? or know wha will happen at ENT? he is terrified of hospitals and any sort of examination he wouldnt even let a doctor look in his ears.

Hi jefffafa,
My daughter was always congested when she was a baby and got horrible coughs that wouldn't let her sleep once she was older, we tried all sorts, doctors prescribed anti biopics for her chest, then tried ventilin, asthma medications, but nothing really helped, must admit her eyes were always ok though, anyway a friend told me about a light that you shine up the nose 3 times a day for 3 mins each time, I was sceptical but was getting desperate as she was so tired all the time, so we tried it, and after a few days use it worked a treat, it's only really allergens they are breathed in, but have a look on here
