5yr old with spots on face - not chickenpox - anything to be worried about?

ds (5yrs) was sick with vomiting bug last week and this week has come out with several spots on his face. I thought at first they were maybe a result of being sick last week and not eating anything nutritional for a few days. Now am not so sure. Should I check it out with doc? Bit annoyed as he is having his first school photo taken on Friday and he will not be looking great!

What sort of spots? Are they raised like chicken pox? (could have shingles if he's had chicken pox) or red under the skin type-which you can get after being sick, they're blood vessels burst under the skin I think.

They are quite small raised red spots with a tiny head on them. I think he has had chickenpox twice - the first time he had them all over his body but they were pretty small and he probably only had about 20 in total (unlike his ds who had chickenpox at the same time and was completely covered in quite large spots). Then about a year later he had about 15 spots on his face which looked like chickenpox. Maybe he has a mild dose again for the third time - would this be possible?

Molluscum contagiosum?

My DD has chickenpox, then a couple of years later came out in some hard red spots with a little head on them. I initially thought they were insect bites as it was summer and they were all over one thigh. I took her to the GP who diagnosed chicken pox. However, they didn't burst like chicken pox and she had no other symptoms, so I took her back a few days later and a different GP diagnosed molluscum contagiosum. We didn't treat them and they went away on their own eventually.
