Ds has had a stuffy nose for about a month and is now developing a wee cough. He has silent reflux and is ebf. Those things aside, he has been a bit of a nightmare since his 16 week jabs, so am wondering if it is jabs/teething/reflux under a new guise or something to be concerned about.

He has had a really windy tummy for the past while. Since the stuffy nose really. So I put it down to taking in air at feeds and chewing his hands constantly. But it has got much worse since the jabs, he has had really watery and mucousy poos (but not green) and will not settle. He seems to be battling with it all the time. He is really distracted during feeds, never seems to finish a feeds, so is snacking constantly day and night. He will sleep for spells during the day if out and about in the buggy/sling but at night he is up every hour despite co sleeping, fidgeting and grumping. His settled spells where he will play with his gym are becoming shorter and shorter.

Any ideas?

Sounds like it could be a lactose intoloerence or something. ( there is still lactose in breast milk) is it worse after you have eaten certain foods?

Is he on any medication for the reflux?

Yes, max dose of ranitidine and I am dairy and gluten free just now. Maybe the jabs ir his cold have given him a dose of LI. Hadn't thought of that.

Sigh. Coleif is such a pain when bf.

How long ago was he given the ranitidine ? Could he need a re weigh and dosage change? ( I apologize as font know how the dosage calculations work and if that's relevant?

If lactose is the problem then it will mean a prescribed formula til he grows out of it.

As he's breast fed maybe another trip to the drs to see if he can give u some probiotics to give him to help restore the bacteria and stuff in his tummy maybe that would help or be worth a try.

I was a formula feeder si can't be sure but I'm pretty certain there is still lactose in breast milk. And doesn't coleif need to be in milk of a certain temp to be activated? ( again apologies as I don't know obviously just thought I remembered hearing somewhere about the coleif so could obviously be wrong )

Nothing wrong with my 4 month old but the same behaviour! I'm hoping the phase will pass asap!!
