DD aged 6 has constipation (treated) - gets pins and needles when using bowels

...in her left foot. She told me this a couple of weeks ago while going to the toilet. I brushed it off as nothing, just one of those things. And she said it again yesterday, and then again today.

She refers to it as 'my foot is all fuzzing and itchy' and said it while using her bowels, holding and rubbing her foot.

Anyone ever get this? I mean, I do from time to time, but, I have sciatica and so this is not uncommon for me, and does not surprise me, but it now has me a bit worried as I know that in my case it means a likely trapped nerve, and that's not likely in a 6yr.

There is a slight thought of mine that she has listened to my own explanations of symptoms, and is maybe sort of 'empathising/copying' mummy, and I do use the term 'fuzzing' myself to describe my sciatica when it's not too bad/just pins and needles, but, I am pretty certain I got the word from her after she used it to describe pins and needs in her foot after sitting on it for too long when she was younger as it was such a great accurate description!

I am due to talk to the GP in two weeks re her constipation, is it worth mentioning, or quite a common thing?

Could it be just from sitting on the loo seat for too long, or in an awkward position due to the constipation?
I sometimes get a dead leg while on the loo, for the reasons above!
It used to be more frequent when I was a kid as we had a horrid thin plastic loo seat, it's less often now I have a more comfortable one. Aaaaaah.... :)

yes maybe! reassuring that it happened to you as a child. I guess I probably not even question it if I didn't have problems myself due to spinal problems, so trying to not get myself all worried over nothing, and I'm sure it's nothing. Thanks!

I always get a dead leg or pins and needles if im on the loo too long. and maybe if shes straining a bit she might be holding her breath, that might cause pins and needles.
