My little boyis 13 weeks old and he has really awful dry skin in his cheeks. He has dry skin all over his little body but we manage to keep on top of that but it is no where near as bad as on his face.
We were putting an organic baby balm on his face, which seemed to be doing the trick but we were having to out it on 3/4 times a day to keep his skin supple. About 2 weeks ago, The HV then said to leave it and not put anything in to allow it to balance out and after a few flaky days (where he looked like our lizard!) it really seemed to be working and his skin was clearer.
Then yesterday morning he woke up with really awful thickish crusty skin on his cheeks, which seems to be weeping in some places. There was also some little bits of bleeding because he always has his hands on his face and now I'm wondering if its because its sore and itchy and that's why he's rubbing his face? It doesn't appear to be bothering him, he's still his happy little self but I'd hate to think he was suffering and I wasn't dong anything about it!
Sorry it's so long but has anyone else experienced this?
Tess xx
P.s. his GP has prescribed Diprobase for him but I don't know if I can put this on his face?
