Anyone's child had a mouth ulcer/sore with chickenpox?

My 4 year old came down with chickenpox on Tuesday. After the first day she has been fairly well apart from the spots.
However she has had a sore in her mouth for the last few days that is painful and bothering her quite a bit.

It seems these are common in chickenpox. Just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to heal and it there is anything we can do.

I have put Bonjela on it a couple of times but it is difficult to reach and I don't want to make it worse.

Thanks

Hi, not my child as he hasn't had chicken pox yet but when I had it myself aged 12 or so I had the sores in my mouth and throat and backside too!

They didn't heal any faster than the skin ones unfortunately.

This could be the cp sores please get proper advice as if bad and in the wrong place and not kept an eye on it can effect airways. My little brother was admitted to hospital as a child due to this

Thanks everyone. I think it could be a chicken pox sore. It is on the roof of her mouth near the back. It is sore but she is managing to drink ok and can eat soft foods.

I'm not sure what the pharmacist can recommend. She is too young to gargle without swallowing and it is in a difficult place to reach for cream/gel.

Difflam spray is ok for 2 plus, it will help numb mouth.
It's a sore throat spray but is also perfect for this

Hi my dd aged 2 has frequent mouth ulcers and sores in the mouth and we use difflam and nysatin. Also lots of calpol and slush drinks.
