whats normal Poo for 22month old?

My DS has never had consistent solid Poo. 1 in 50 soiled nappies are solid. The rest are more like custard or tomato puree consistency at best. All goods friends seem to be having solid poos. He eats a wide range of foods (has a very healthy appetite) and has no known allergies and is not on medication. I've booked gp appointment but wondered if anyone is/has been in the same boat?

Same here. I put it down to the fact he's still breadtfed but might be nothing to do with that. I think (hope!) it's normalish though

He's not still BF but his friend are and are solid except when they are teething. Spoke to HV who told me to book gp appt so I guess she was thinking he should be more solid. She mentioned they may want to do tests for allergies. Its got me worried and annoyed I have not gone to gp sooner instead of waiting to see if it sorted itself out..

My DS has always been like this. He is 32months now and we are on tomato puree type texture very very occasionally it is solid.
He was a colicy/screamy baby who pooed constantly...I think you might be right about allergies. I might get it checked out too!

My DS was also colicky and it only stopped when I started baby porridge early. If he ever missed a meal (even now) he gets terrible colic/ trapped wind. Luckily my drs surgery is great and when I phoned this afternoon after speaking to the HV they had a free appt at 520 today!

Typical tho. Just stopped having to go so much for one issue (febrile convulsions) and now going for another!

Update: been to doctors appointment this evening. Doctor listened but didn't say anything to confirm whether it was normal or not but did say he would write to the paediatrician we are under for his febrile convulsions for them to investigate further. Based on this I guess its not entirely normal...

Exactly the same with my 20mo DS. He actually did a solid one this morningnfor the first time in weeks. i have been considering cutting out lactose because he got a secondary intolerance a while ago because of a tummy bug and putting him on soymformula for a while really seemed to help.
In reality though I think there isma wide range of 'normal' so if your DS is ok in himself, eating well and thriving, then I wouldn't worry too much.

Yeah we got a solid one this morning for the first time in months. Oddly it coincided with him not having milky cereal last night or this morning and us running out of yoghurts....I think ill take advantage of any tests they offer but may just naturally reduce his dairy intake a little...(one bowl of cereal and one yoghurt a day)
