Late last night, DD woke me saying she has got sore bits, me half asleep, thinks great, 'worms' as its the only time she gets sore bits.
I have a look and yes she has the little buggers, so in the bathroom, I wipe her down then as a go to put some sudocrem on there they are, about eight of them, they are not light, they are thick, black pubic hairs, I just put the cream on, then put her into bed.
I had another quick look this morning to make sure and yes, they are still there, I'm shocked and mortified, she is not aware, I have not said anything to her, she is only six, she has been getting a bit sweaty lately, with bo being quite strong, I make sure she showers regular, I thought nothing of it, thought it was just a phase but this:(
Has anyone else have experience of this with their DC, I am going to make a doctors appointment tomorrow

Yes, a doctor's appt is the best thing. There is a condition that can cause premature puberty and there are things that can be done to delay it.

Try to not worry, things can be done.

No experience. I believe children developing early is called preocious puberty. Good luck at the d octors

My little sister had this. She was a young 5 when she got pubic hair and armpit hair, and she started to smell too. I took her to the doctors and there were quite a few options for how to deal with it.

She had an injection, and was offered a course of tablets. We were told she might need further injections, but she didn't, and she started puberty normally at 11/12.

Don't worry - honestly, the doctors will know what to do, and it's not scary or stressful at all.

I hope the worms get sorted soon too!

Thank you for the quick replies.
I just did not expect it, I can't say how long they have been there, as DD showers herself and to be honest it not somewhere I see much of as she is so independent!
I am going to Google early puberty, see what it comes up with.
Thanks again.

Spoke to our Dr today, she is going to see my DD on wed, said she will refer her but examine and explain in more detail on wed. I have told my DD it is a routine checkup, no Q's from her as yet.
Worms have done one too:)

Hi Mooliebear. I have just posted about this as well - my daughter has just turned 7 and has quite a lot of pubic hair as well. I first noticed one or two scragglers a few months ago but there is quite a lot there now. Doesnt seem normal to me but the docs say otherwise.

My daughter's nipples also seem to be a tiny bit more prominent then they were and I have noticed that she seems to have started blushing quite a bit. All a bit worrying really - no one else in the family has been through puberty on the early side.

Just wondered how you had got on since posting here?
