4.5 year old bad breath

Hi,

Dd has very bad breath every morning and night, she eats very well and has supervised tooth brushing twice a day.. Any suggestions?

Well, if she eats an 'adult' diet she could get honky breath just like grown ups do. Does she eat garlicky/oniony food? Also consider whether she drinks enough? Is she consitpated?

Mouth ulcers got infected?

Does she mouth breathe?

What are her tonsils like?

Is she prone to tonsillitis or sinus issues?

Dd has incredibly bad breath at age 6. Was mouth breathing, snoring like a trooper. Turned out that her tonsils were enormous and despite not really having tonsillitis more than once, they were removed and she is 100% better now. No stinky breath, sleeps well, good appetite and generally a complete turn around.

Unfortunately because she mouth breathed for so long (and genetics too) she's going to need a fair bit or orthodontics.

My youngest suffered from severe boats of constipation as a baby and small child and even now only goes every couple of days and has suffered from really bad pooey breath whenever he gets bunged up and I mean really strong sewerage type breath that can strip paint off of walls, in between he's ok smells normal, Sorry not sure if this helps
