DD2 (5) is on medication to prevent bladder spasms which cause her to feel 'drippy' like she is wetting herself. The medication works which is great. She never has accidents and now the emotional angst has been resolved.
DD1 (8) has always been unreliable going to the loo. I put it down to being distracted, tired etc. If she is about to come down with a nasty virus it is often preceeded by a wee accident. Lately she has been having very small accidents and has not been aware she needed to go at all. She has started to get damp pants and is worrying about returning to school in September.
We visited GP about a month ago. As there is no pattern to the accidents - can be 2 in a week or 1 in a month, he said unlikely to be an infection. Common in girls. She needs to not hold her wee in, and go more regularly.
I am wondering if there may be a link between the problems my girls have?
Any tips or advice on how to help DD1?
Thanks for reading (turned out to be a longer post than I planned).
