Diarrhoea and the nursery?

First time dealing with this so not sure what the "etiquette" is.

6 month DD has an upset tummy, down to two runny nappies a day and had it for 4 days. She's supposed to be in nursery tomorrow morning and other than the soiled nappies she is absolutely fine in herself so what am I supposed to do. Keep her away till she's 48 hours clear? Send her in as to all intents and purposes she's perfectly well? and probably caught the bug from there anyway Let the nursery decide?

I'm not bothered that she's got this bug as it's building up her immune system but I wouldn't want to upset another parent/teacher by taking her in if I shouldn't.

Keep her off of nursery until she's 48 hours clear.

I'd probably keep her off but you could always call the nursery to confirm.

My DDs nursery tend to be ok with runny nappies if baby is teething but if it's a bug then you risk passing it to other chilren.

Absolutey do not send her in. D&V bugs can spread incredibly quickly round nurseries and schools.

If you take her in, you risk passing the bug on to not only the other children, but the staff as well.

Keep her off until she is 48 hours clear, otherwise you risk her passing it on to other children.

48 hours since last runny nappy.

Actually teething hadn't occurred to me, she's got two teeth through already but the nappy contents aren't the same as when first two were through if that makes sense. That said she's being weaned so the contents wouldn't be the same......how do you tell?

I'll give the nursery a ring tomorrow and see what they say.

Thanks Smile
