on sunday it went all over except neck and joint creases, palms and soles along with cold type symptoms

shes just started complaining of a headache.hasnt had a fever

Yes, she needs to be seen by a GP asap. Call your surgery and she can't be sen there today call NHS Direct.

timetosmile · 09/07/2012 17:14

Let the GP see it ASAP.
It's not just a rash but it now has a poorly, usually robust, child attatched to it.
And if he/she says 'virus' so be it.
But for goodness sake, let them be the judge of it, not MN (I speak as a GP Wink)

I would go and see the GP with any unidentified rash. It could bea sign of illness, probably is as she is now unwell; it could also be an allergy which also needs to be noted.

What did they say?

Lucylockett106 · 10/07/2012 04:41

Meningitis is very quick. My son had it in January. One min fine next couldn't spk , open eyes, pee, temp was 42* he couldn't walk and first time I've seen a child lifeless. Always get rashes checked and never let anyone make you feel neurotic for doing so. Hope your dd is ok x

Sounds like slapped cheek to me (Fifth Dusease), the rash can last for a while afterwards, even when they are feeling better

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 10/07/2012 06:54

But yes please get her checked out if she is feeling worse!

liveinazoo · 10/07/2012 10:21

i rang nhs direct and they said organise visit to g.p
shes off today at 4.50.x

My DD has had symptoms of slapped cheek since Friday but never had a red face at all, it's a mystery.

Hope your DD feels better soon, sounds like a bad bout.
