he hasn't banged it or put anything up it, doesn't pick it much

its not a flow its just scabby and clottey

We've postponed bed time so he's up with us watching a DVD so we can watch him - is that enough or should we go down the doc route?

NHSDirect/24

NHS is worse than useless we never call em

its between calling the out of hours gp or just keeping him up and watching him for an hour

NHSdirect that meant to say, not the whole NHS - that's awesome!

my ds(10) gets them alot, has had two over the last couple of weeks, i think it's something to do with the extreme weather! i would not worry unless it lasts for a long time.

Had a cold/hayfever? that can irritate nose lining and cause bleeding?

Have a good look at his fingernails, most minor bleeds are caused by wandering fingers

dd2 gets really bad ones, we get her to st up with us, head down pinching the nostrils and try and keep still and calm. I would say if he is ok in himself and it isn't flowing, then it is probably ok. But if you are really worried call ooh.

Cheriefroufrou · 05/07/2012 19:50

it not flowing, its scabby
