noticed this morning when brushin dds teeth that she has what looks like a freckle on the inside of her cheek just above her very back molers.

Does anyone know if it is possible to have an incospicuous freckle on the inside of mouth, I will take her to have it looked at by gp regardless, but i didnt want to google this and read loads about cancer and scare myself.

leave it a week. If its still there and you are worried, then se GP. It could just be a blood blister type things, where she has bumped her mouth eating a crisp or a sharp crust.

My first thought was Peutz-Jegher?s syndrome. It's supposed to be a dominant gene but friend had it seemingly as a result of random mutation (neither of his parents had it). There are usually freckles in other odd places with PJS.

thanks that is reasuring fireice, it does not look particularly like any of those 3 pictured. It is very small like a black fleck but i suppose she is only six and those pictures where adults.

I will definatly take her to get checked out, I suppose the chances of it being anything terrible are fairly slim in a non smoking, non wine slugging 6 year old.

PJS isn't that bad, Troll. Honest. The bloke I know with PJS (ex-boyfriend, wicked sense of humour & taught me how to cook) is now in his late 30s, successful career, goes cycling, has a little boy that gives him delight every day. It's hardly a terrible life sentence. He takes iron tablets & gets occasional checkups. That's about all it means.
