Basically just returned from a 2 week holiday and noticed massively that ds keeps saying really off the wall comments. Mostly revolving around willies & lady bits.

Sounds trivial I know but its now starting to worry me.

He keeps saying: " I was going to say willy then" when he's actually said what he thought iykiwm

Or will say " I can't stop thinking about that ladys lady gaga" (lady bits) then says " I didn't mean to say that then"

Imo its almost as though he is thinking things then saying them out loud. I and dh have tried reasoning with him, dh saying, sometimes I think things but its not always appropriate to say them.

He will pass comment on people as I guess kids do but he knows its wrong.

Its the willy and lady gaga bit thats worrying me as im concerned he will say stuff in school and I have no idea how to deal with this.

Tonight after school, while speaking to the class teacher he mithered me till I answered him only to be told what he was thinking....sad. I hope the teacher didn't hear...

I have just called my gp asking if they will see me without ds allowing me chance to air my concerns...

btw, I have tried ignoring ds, repremanding ds, pretending not to hear him, tellling him its wrong what he is saying... tried all things, to no avail.

HELP !

Im thinking he may have something wrong, tourettes..???? but im probably jumping to the wrong conclusion..

TIA X

Don't be riduculous. It gets him attention so he says it. Ignore it for a while and he'll stop.

What BodyOfEeyore said.

At some point you've probably looked shocked/displeased.
He's waiting to see it again.

Ignore ignore ignore

Its simply his age. They do it for attention, either shock factor or because someone ( probably at school) has laughed. It is completely normal

thanks for the replies.

Its just to fact that today for the first time (I know of) he has said it within ear shot of someone and I guess im worried for their reaction.

It wouldn't bother me so much if it was general stuff about appearance as thats kids but bothers me that he speaking about peoples privates iykwim.
