Dd has no temp or vomiting and seems absolutely fine in herself. Tummy seems fine this morning (it was very achy yesterday evening and diahorrea was liquid stuff not just soft poo - sorry if you are about to have breakfast Grin) Is she ok to go to school do you think or should I keep her off?

Keep her off !

JubileeMcPhee · 01/06/2012 06:49

er no. Stay home.

FamiliesShareGerms · 01/06/2012 06:49

No. Our school policy is that there has to be 24 hours since the last bout of diahorrea before they can come back. Please don't share the germs around for the Bank Holiday weekend!

LOL! I thought so. I'll tell dd, she'll be very pleased Smile

Sorry but she needs to stay at home.

Littlefish · 01/06/2012 06:51

Absolutely not. The 48hr exclusion rule is there to protect everyone from the spread of germs. Please don't even consider taking her in.

QueenEdith · 01/06/2012 06:51

Keep her off.

I hope she'll not be missing any good Jubilee parties.

Littlefish · 01/06/2012 06:51

Sorry - cross posted with you. Glad she's not going in. Smile

RustyBear · 01/06/2012 06:52

Keep her off. It should be 48 hours. Can't believe you're thinking of sending her 12 hours after liquid diahorrea!

RustyBear · 01/06/2012 06:53

Sorry, cross-post, I see you're keeping her off.

TooManyOddSocks · 01/06/2012 06:53

X posted with you. Glad you are keeping her off. Hope the day doesn't go too slowly for you Smile

Oh no, I'm looking forward to it, girls day! DS a bit miffed already Wink

What's the food regime here? Just keep it plain and avoid dairy? Don't think either of mine has ever had diahorrea on it's own, usually full blown sickness etc.

Oh and it was yesterday evening not during the night so she has had a good nights sleep which is great.

Good luck!! Though I have to say, school sent ds home because he had diahorrea and told me I had to keep him home for 48 hours. They were very insistant that I collect him. I had worked a night shift and they had woken me after 2 hour sleep. I gave in and collected him and then went and saw the head the next day. I had told them when he started school that he has bever had a solid poo in his life and quite possibly never will!!! If they are waiting for that to happen before he is allowed back he will miss an awful lot of his education!!

out of interest, what if it had been one episode of soft poo not liquid? One bout, next poo following day was normal? DD had this last weekend
