MMR -different according to where you live?

We have just moved from S London, where the MMR jab is given at 12 months, with a booster at 15 months. My DS had the first MMR jab. On moving, (to rural Norfolk) my new practice nurse tells me that he is up to date, and does not need his second MMR until his pre-school jabs are due. Is this because London is considered more infectious? (same reason you get the BCG in London, and other urban areas, and not outside?) Grateful for your thoughts - don't want to make a mistake.

You're right missced. Most places don't give the booster until pre school.

Not sure about what you mean about more infectious but booster was Brought forward in certain areas where there were measles outbreaks to try and get better immunity. Dd just had her booster at 3.5 .

I just took it as you were more likely to get infected in London Confused hope that's what you meant!

Yep although am sure may be other areas it applies to
