DS had his jabs this morning, was ok for a few hours and is now screaming inconsolably :( He sounds awful, and he's got a bit of a rash appear on his belly

We've given him some calpol now, is there anything else we can do to soothe him? Or should we be worried?

Use your instincts. If your worried call out a doc or take him to the hospital, which ever is quicker. You will never forgive yourself if there is something wrong, and you will only laugh if everythings fine!

If it's a baby with a rash I'd call a doctor (out of hours service or walk-in centre?) - even though it's most likely just a heat rash and a grouchy baby wanting lots of fluids in the heat.

I think I'd call NHS because he's so young and because of the rash.

Take his temp. The jabs give babies a temperature and that is probably combined with feeling extra hot from the weather. I would have him in a vest, windows open, lots of milk if he'll take it. Calpol should help to lower his temperature too.
Clearly seek proper RL medical advice if you're really worried.
Poor little soul. I hope he feels better soon.

The rash has faded now, so feeling less worried. We've got him calmed down enough to take some milk, hopefully he'll doze off after

Jabs can really upset babies unfortunately. Cuddles help, but any worries, see doctor.
