I think she maybe having panic attacks she had a complete melt down last night (not for the first time) before they have just been minor stuff like you don't understand me you don't know me type things cbut kit all came out last night she cries most nights in bed, she wakes up cring not knowing why, she has had problems at school with low level bullying which we have tried really hard to help but nothing seems too make it better, she has low confidence and won't speak out against these girls, I feel like crying for her all the time I feel helpless!! Is this a panic attack she is having?? I have booked her in for a dr appointment later.

Hope the doctor's appointment goes well and they are able to suggest something useful.

My dd is very prone to panic attacks and has been having ongoing CBT therapy which does seem to be helping, basically exploring techniques for distracting herself and dealing with her fears.

'low level bullying' is just bullying plain and simple. This is why she's upset.

Have you been to the school? She doesn't have to say anything but you can on her behalf.

If she's crying all the time like that then a trip to the Drs is a very good idea. You need to get into school as well and talk to them about the bullying. There's no such thing as 'low level' and if its getting to her that much you need to tackle it.

It doesn't sound like a panic attack, but it does sound like she is struggling.

I have been up school lots of times I have shouted listened tried to reason but it is just awful I am phoning them again today to try and sort out a further meeting, dr has referred to a specialist so hopefully that will help I feel so sad for her if not panic attack could it be depression ??

It might not be as bad as depression, but she is obviously very, very, worried and upset. Bullying grinds you down, if you aren't very confident in the first place it's only going to damage your self esteem more.

Maybe you could repost about the bullying, giving more details, there is always loads of good advice on here on how to deal with the school.
