Also posted about DS having to go for a chest X-ray (today is a barrel of laughs).

Ds2, 16mo has a turned in left foot and we've been referred to orthapedics. What can I do in the meantime?

He loves to walk, run and climb so it's obviously not bothering him at all.

Hermione tbh I think I'd let him carry on as usual if it isn't affecting him greatly.

It must be worrying for you, but it's amazing how children adapt to physical problems. I had an unusual condition which affected my left foot when I was older than him and I just thought it was normal and carried on. In fact my DS1 is partly blind in one eye, but again you can't tell.

I hope you see the orthopod soonand that they can help.

At 16 months his feet are meant to be turned in, the hip hasnt rotated fully.

They are all born different and most things sort themselves out.

Podiatrist get loads of ref's for flat footed turned in feet on toddlers.

Take him but prob ok!

I will go and see the podiatrist, purely because his brother has complained of pain in his left hip and leg since just before he was two and if it is a problem, it might help his brother be taken more seriously.

I mentioned to the GP that I thought "knock kneeded" was normal and I had noticed that he had been like that a month or so ago but she said he defintely needed a referral, so I shall go and see what the specialist says.

HOORAY FOR THE NHS!
