And Dc is in agony. Lots of blisters (some open) around her anus& she is so sore. Only 2.5, not toilet trained and nappy prob makes it worse.

Tried oats/bicarbonate in bath-no use. Regular piriton/calpol/brufen. She can't get comfy at night and just crying. I don't think they are infected (yet!). Advice appreciated.

Thanks!

My sympathy, my DD has the pox ATM too (spots started on Saturday).

I don't know if you've tried this already but what about nappy rash cream, that's designed to soothe inflammation in that area? Sorry if you've already tried that...

Cheers for the reply and at least not in it alone. Guess its 'better' they get it but poor thing. Waiting for the baby (8mo) to start next...

Calamine has for some cream in it too and adding in sudocream...oh well. This too shall pass and as long as they don't get complications/infections.

Best of luck blonde. Hers started Friday eve/sat too.

You can get some gel called virasoothe (I think thats the name) from Boots.

Much better than calomine and stays put. Gets rid of the redness and itching too.

Both my dd's have had it, and the gel really helped.

This too shall pass is my mantra when DD is ill Grin

Fingers crossed for you that it passes quickly...
