baby number 2 has had reflux symptoms since birth, but all been quite manageble been through it all before with ds1 and didn't want to start the medication wagon so early with keeping up right, wedges, frequent small breastfeeds etc and he has never acted in pain, however in the last few weeks I have stopped breast feeding and he has gone onto formula. Slowly over the last few weeks he has been sick (projectile) at least once a day and since Thursday in pain at night and hourly waking at night, as soon as he goes upright he is back to sleep.... The last few days typically over bank holiday he is wheezy (we all ready have an inhaler) wakeful, and this morning, DH while I was sleeping gave him breakfast and used cows milk, (first time) and he screamed for about an hour, seems in pain etc....

So with the help of google, experience from DS1 etc I think it is either reflux or reflux and CMPI allergy (which DS1 has) anyway I get to my point...

Should I go to ooh today? Wait for GP? Or buy some comfort milk and infant gaviscon today? dH and I are stressed, can't decide what's best and hoped some of you may offer some wisdom?

Bumping for you.....my vote would probably go and buy, you've been through it you know tge drill.

I'd vote for Tesco's today and GP tomorrow, ime ooh are better for the obvious stuff but more in depth stuff GP tends to be better, unless you can't wait for some reason.

Yep tesco today and GP tomorrow. Why does he have an inhaler though? If you have any concrens about his breathing then obv ooh.

Sorry just seen this, he was given an inhaler for wheezing at Christmas, they just said he has or is prone to a viral wheeze....? The inhaler does work, but after another shocking night and poor boy still in pain with green diahrea I hope the doctors help us.....it can all depend on who you get though....

did you get cow and gate comfort? that does cause loose green stools, but GP is needed for other issues. hope you get it sorted.

Saw a pretty grumpy GP and nearly got sent away with a wait and see, but I took DH who sat like the bouncer in the corner and we got gaviscon to try and nutramigen, he has defently showing signs of a cows milk intolerance/allergy so hopefully we will see quite a quick turn around...went to the HV after who said he should have been referred to the hospital so is going to get that going...and hopefully after a horrid few weeks watching little one become increasingly more unsettled I'm hoping tonight will be better or on the way to better....

glad your getting there, its awful when a GP doesn't take you seriously, my old GP did that with Ds1 for months, turned out he had asthma as i suspected. i changed surgeries in the end and my only regret was not doing it sooner. fingers crossed for improvement soon.
