Slapped cheek syndrome?

3yo ds started yesterday morning with bright red cheeks and a slight temperature and today is really out of sorts, bright red cheeks now rash on arms and body and a really high temp(39.4) for which I'm alternating calpol and ibuprofen. He also has a blocked nose and a cough. I immediately thought slapped cheek with his cheeks being so red. Just wondered if anyone had any experience of this please?

Ds had this I think last year. Bright red cheeks but fine on the saturday, vvv high temp on the sunday still with red cheeks, temp lasted 2 days very very high and uncotrollable, rash started spreading in a lacy pattern on day 3 and he came out in about 50+ ulcers in his mouth which lasted 5 days. I'm not sure if the ulcers were related or not.

Just be careful it is dangerous if you are pregnant or suffering from cancer ...

Thank you for info, yes I read it can be dangerous for pregnant or ill people so will be keeping him at home til he's better. Temp is a worry, especially at night.

Wondering if my DDs have this. Both cold-like symptoms. Older one fine but rosy cheeks, little one temp, crying, refusing food and rosy cheeks.
