Is this normal after fillings?

DS2 (8yo) had four fillings this morning.

I've never had any fillings, neither has DS1, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The appointment was booked for 2 to be done today, with another for the other two next week, but bless him he was so good for the first two, that the dentist decided to do the lot and get it over with.

He had two injections, making his whole mouth numb, which the dentist warned us would take an hour or so to wear off. He was really good and calm in the chair, but looked like a little man in shock afterwards. He complained of being dizzy when we got outside, which I put down to having had his head below his feet for a while. When we got home he spent 2 hours on the sofa just wanting to be cuddled. Had a tiny amount of lunch about an hour ago, as he said he could feel his lips OK and has now taken himself off to bed.

When do I start worrying about my normally bouncy little boy?

I don't think it's ususal for the whole mouth to be numbed up, but the dentist obviously knows best and I would have thought that so long as your DS hasn't bitten his lip/cheek he'll be fine when the anaesthetic has worn off.
If he doesn't seem quite right try HNS direct, the staff are very calming and knowledgeable.
At least he could feel his lips and did not apparently have any pain so I'm sure he'll be fine.
