Day 5 of D&V

Sad DD2 (2 and a half) had had D&V since Thursday. She hasn't eaten much in all that time - but is still drinking. Thought things were getting better last vomiting at lunchtime and finally some solid bits in her nappy) - but when DP was putting her to bed she threw up EVERYWHERE. Sad Had her to Drs today - he prescribed dioralyte, but she won't touch it (not surprised it tastes horrible).

Any tips for how to get through this? I'm just getting over a chest infection, no one as slept in days - boss told me NOT to come into work tomorrow.

My washing machine has never seen so much action

Hi only thing I can suggest is put glucose powder in her water as not much flavour to it , and ready salted crisps or Pringles are all my dd ate for a few days . Not much else you can do . Hope she's better soon Smile

DS 20m had it for 3 weeks.
3 lots of poo tested, all negative.
No one else caught it, he went to childminder still bless her!
He lost 1kg in a fortnight. Has put it back on now, but still a bit loose.
Sending sympathy. It's a very odd bug!

Thanks for the replies - good news is that she slept all night, first time in months she hasn't been in our bed when we wake up (I had to send DP in to check she was OK - thought she'd choked on her own vomit). Am taking day off work today (hurray! Don't have to go out in the snow!). Was thinking about trying her with a non-fizzy sports drink?
