Thursday tea time ds starts with d&v. Not sick very often but each one is a complete emptying of the stomach.

Wakes up at 3am on Friday crying., has vommited in his sleep and seems very unwell.

I rang nhs direct who advised to continue with normal feeds and not withhold at all regardless of vomiting. Gave him his.usual 7 ounces and within 10 minutes it all came up projectile.

Friday morning he is weak but ok. Doesn't cry for food at all so give him usual 7 ounces at about 10am. Again it all comes up within 10 minutes. He then goes floppy, mottled hands and feet, drifting in and out so an ambulance is called. His nn measures at 2.2 so he is treated for that and we're discharged from the ward at tea time.

Saturday he improves. Very lethargic and grouchy but keeping down sips of dioralyte and the occasional teaspoon of banana.

Sunday he won't touch food, very reluctant with dioralyte. Alternates between screaming in pain and sleeping all morning. Got emergency ooh gp app. She agrees he's not right regardless of normal temp and asks ward to see us again.

They say he is fine, it's all normal, he will be up and down, keep doing what we're doing.

This morning not crying so much but has vomited what little dioralyte he's had and is still very listless and pale.

Is this really all normal? It just seems like he's going backwards not forwards. As I said, any advice gratefully received.
