Dd has persistent diarrhoea, is there anything I can do?

Dd has not passed a solid stool for 10days. She is repeatedly soiling herself and it is upsetting her.

The Gp said there is nothing he can prescribe and to make sure she gets plenty of fluids which she is.

She is 3 and she hasn`t been able to go to preschool all week or her swimming etc.

Nhs direct online says not to starve her but the doc said I could restrict her food.

Please help, I can't clean her up and deal with the soiled knickers for much longer!

Sorry, I've no experience of this but could it be a food intollerance/allergy? Has she had anything different?
How about restricting her food a bit and only giving her stodgy stuff, bread, pasta, rice, banana etc. Hope she gets better soon

Could she be constipated (impacted with leakage?)

Look up 'toddlers diarrhoea'. It is a recognised condition, though has no obvious cause in most cases. My DS had it for a month or so when he was 18 months ish. There was nothing untoward found in stool samples etc, it just happened. There is some advice out there on possible changes to diet to try which might help you.
