argh, just coming up for the hols, she is supposed to be going to disney on ice on friday and loads of special stuff at school. harumph. she had it as a baby but only had a couple of spots, half her class have it and she has got a few itchy spots on her back, they are not like blisters though although only just come up now, do you think it is?
And what is the best way to soothe it if it is, I guess we will know by the morning.

I'm just wondering if dd has the same. She has spotty/blistery dots on her legs that look like them to me. I'm really hoping not as we are also going to Disney on ice on sat and have a full ballet show every night next week plus dress rehearsal in sun.

I hope they both turn out not to be so close to the hols

:( it is never a good time I suppose, really hoping not. although I guess if you are going to disney on ice we live in the same place, our dd's could hang out and be spotty together.

you will know by morning....they should be blistery by then and may have begun spreading

one mine was also bit feverish and grumpy til lots spots appeared

someone told me once that chicken pox is most virilant at easter time and made links to the easter bunny be responsibleGrin

seriously though in my experience it has always surfaced at most in considerate of times
3 mine had it september

plenty cool baths with bicarbonate of soda should see you right and im told a good dose means they shouldnt get another fingers crossed

When ds first got his they were teeny pink pimples (only 2) and it took 2 more days before he came out in millions hundreds of blisters.

My 19 month old ds has it at the moment. I second the bi-carbonate of soda baths. Have been using calamine lotion as well. Seems to help for a while although he hates us putting it on him.

Be careful taking them out anywhere though. Very dangerous for pregnant women or newborns who havnt had it. If there are likely to be mums to be etc anywhere, avoid it, it really isn't fair to pass it on to them.
