6 months old and staring off into space

Hello everyone
Im probably being an over-the-top first time mom but im not sure if i should be worried about my daughter and her staring off into space.

Shes 6 months old and i often notice that she is off in another world day dreaming. It takes me to wave my hand infront of her face, or make a loud noise in order for her to come out of it!

It normally happens if we are out on a walk or she is in her bumbo playing. Of course i googled it which is probably the worst thing you can do because it came back with her maybe having ADHD or worse.

I was just wondering if anyone else knows anything about this, or if they have a child doing the same. It has definately gotten worse over the last month. I would say that she is very developed for her age and everything else is going great!

Im probably just worrying over nothing but please let me know if you have any comments on the subject, or just want to tell me to stop being silly!

Thanks for reading

Emma x

my first thought is she probably does it when tired, and also to you it seems like she is staring into space but she is probably intently focusing on something, everything is so new to her at this age so if she find something interesting she will focus on it, that is how she learns and is a good thing :)

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought that i was just being worried over nothing but thought its best to just check with other moms! I guess that she must just be taking everything in around her! Thanks for the advice!

I'm sure in the book The Wonder Weeks it says they may do that at that age, totally normal, just them adjusting to the world!
