dd1 is 3 and almost 2 months; she cut her first tooth just before 6 months, and all the rest came in normally. But she still only has 16 teeth, and periodic bouts of what seems like teething (cranky, drooling etc) but still no teeth. Everything I've read seems to say they get them all by 2 (she is quite slow to mature, physically, I think) - should I go to dentist and get it checked out?

My DD is 4 & just cut her first 2 molars, no sign of the other 2. She sees the dentist every 6 mths who is completely unconcerned about the lack of knashers. A dentist once told me that slow teething is linked to low birth weight - not sure if that was an old wives tale or research based - but my DD was 6lbs 5oz at birth ...

that's good to know; dd1 was 7lbs 13, so entirely average; but at 3 she is pretty small, only 90cm tall, although her weight is OK

Dd1, who was tall for her age didn't get them until she was gone 4yo. She's been late with all her teeth.

so it sounds like it's completely random, then Confused
