DD had hers on the 30th Jan. I was wondering how long it took for the letters to arrive? I've seen on the news some parents around the country have had theirs already although its more than likely at different dates theirs were done. Its been over a month since they did the check & id really like to get the letter.

Is it Year R or Year 6? DD2 (YR) had hers yesterday and we got a printout straight away, but I think there will be a letter specifically about weight and height to follow (remembering from DD1).

YR R. I got a letter saying it was going to happen & that i would recieve a letter from the NHS after the check was done. Im a little worried incase they get the wrong address. I live up a private driveway & its happened before where even a school letter has been sent to a family down the road from me who wont send the post or give me the post. They keep it or bin it.

Hmm. We had a printout to go in her red book yesterday - did you get one of those? Ours tells you the name of the school nurse, so if you have that, could you chase it up?

Emmielu · 06/03/2012 09:36

Nope. the only 2 books from school she has that come home (aside from reading books) is one for words that she writes in & a reading record book that i write in when she reads to me. Who would i go to to chase it up?

I don't think DD had one last year when she was in YR or at least if she did I never got details of it. Are all children meant to have them (unless you say otherwise of course). DS had his in YR but when we lived in a different county

Bramshott · 06/03/2012 09:42

I'd ask the school in the first instance.

Emmielu · 06/03/2012 09:43

It said on the letter children in reception & again in year 6 at this school. I really didnt think it would take this long to recieve the letter. I've asked some of the other mums if they recieved theirs & they havent either. I think im going to have to ask at the main desk at school if they know when they're coming in.

It might work differently in scotland but ds brought his letter home with him on the day the height/weight was measured (it was in a sealed envelope)

Bramshott · 06/03/2012 13:06

Depends if you want the letter Wink. I know DD2s will say that she's very short, and I am just hoping they don't threaten to refer her to anyone for it. I would be happy if it never arrived TBH!

Opted out of it. Surely you can weigh and measure height of own DC without the school doing it.
