Any recommendations for a room humidifier?

My 2 and a half year old DD has enormous tonsils and adenoids - mouth breathes in the day and snores really badly at night and the GP suggested using a humidifier in her room to help open up her airways.

Has anyone bought one that works particularly well/easy to use/not too expensive?

Thanks!

I bought a Vicks one from Argos - think it was about £32. It's simple to use, but quite noisy. The weird thing is, the noise hasn't stopped any of us from falling asleep, and dd1 and I normally need 100% quiet. It makes a bubbling sound. I got it to try and help with terrible coughs and it seems to do the trick. I'd recommend it.

Ah, that might be just what we need too. I am currently battling with DD to try and spray a stemimar thingy up her nose, once is up, 20 mins of relief all round

Sterimar

My mum called John Bell & Croyden in Wigmore Street to see what they recommended and the one they said was the best was expensive but we've gone ahead and bought it (well my mum paid actually!) called the Heaven Fresh HF 707. Arrived this morning so we'll see what happens tonight!
