Dd is 2.5 and woke up just before midnight crying and clutching the back of her head. It seems to cause her pain every time she moves her head, she keeps repeating ow ow Sad

We phoned the out of our GP and a nurse there told us to take her to A&E straight away. We can't both go because we have other children so dh has taken her.

I'm really worried. Im use to the normal snuffles and temperatures but haven't seen this anything like this before. So scared that something is wrong with my baby. Sad

So pleased to hear she's ok. Just the worst thing ever not knowing what's wrong. Hope the rest of your weekend is restful and stress free!

Glad to hear she's fine... I know how scary it is - although strangely enough when it did happen to my DD meningitis never crossed my mind

Can I ask everyone to have a wee reminder off all the symptoms and that the glass test can only ever rule meningitis in and can never rule it out

Hope she'll get better soon

Thanks for that Anna, that's really useful information.

And thanks everyone else too for holding my hand. Id have been climbing the walls otherwise.
