Dd1 has ingrown eye lashes. Making her eye sore and now yucky. It's weekend, of course and wondering best course of action. We live in herts.

Have you been to the doctors? I ask because there are a couple of reasons for this and one is a nasty infection called Blepharitis....I had it myself a few years ago. Its horrid and if left untreated can cause the permanent loss of your lashes.

you need to take her to the out of hours doctor.

Haven't been to out f hours yet. Was considering if it's best to call NHS direct and find nearest eye hospital. Surely GP can't take out the lashes? Confused

My ds had this but it was just the outer most lash on his top eye lid, on both sides. I happened to notice it before it had started to irritate his eyes and removed them myself with some tiny tweezers. Probably absolutely the wrong thing to do but I figured they needed removing and it was less stress me doing it and luckily they grew back normally

Have decided to head to eye hospital, I have tried to move them myself but they are in there tight. Heading to moorfields so hopefully they can sort her out.

Moorfields potters bar was shut so saw out of hours GP. No equipment to help so now have to head to children's a&e, who also are not sure they will be able to help either Confused

spent a few hours in local A&E which was jam packed but had brought a good book as knew we would have to wait.
The doctor was lovely and sorted her out quite quickly in the end. All removed but if they grow inwards again she will need referal to eye specialist.
