Ok I know u shouldn't of but I did. I've googled my sons symptoms and now I'm panicking.

I recently posted about my DS (aged 3) having pain in his testicals and penis( I do prefer to call them balls and winky). It started late last week but on Sunday night he started with a temp after twice going to the out of hours his water was clear but his lymph glands are very swollen on his groin.

He is on amoxicillin as they suspect a water infection. But the doctor told me to check his lymph glands in a week to check they have gone down.

He seems much better today but his lymph glands seem really big still and they are sore to the touch.

He has been having really bad night sweats for months. I mean when he sleeps he looks like he has had a shower and he soaking wet. He is really small for his age and skinny.

These symptoms after googling really serious illnesses are coming up. Can some one tell me there is no need to worry.

I know nothing of boys areas (call them what you want), I do know I would not be happy with your DS problems.
I would give my GP one last chance then ask for a referal to a consulant. I am not sure what the consultant's speciality would be, but certainly another doctor.
Spell out the night sweats and point out how slight he is.
Good luck.

And step away from Google for the sake of your health.

DO NOT GOOGLE!!!!
Most symptoms, if googled, will at some point link to any number of dreadful diseases.

If you are worried, go back to your GP asap and tell them your fears.
If they think it's a UTI, it probably is, but they should do more tests to put your mind at ease.

Please take him back to GP. Some children sweat loads when asleep but if it's sudde. It needs looking at.
Dd2 had very swollen lympyh nodes last year and hospital kept us in an did scans ect. It was very scary for us especially as I knew what they were looking at because sadly dh has cancer. However, she had a very nasty virus and was fine 2 weeks later.

Trust yourself if your worried, do something. We never regret what we do, only what we don't.

I replied on your thread before he had the fever etc. Am glad he seems better but given the night sweats I think I'd ask for an appointment this week. Did yoiu mention them when you saw the doc?

Hi. Yes he has been fine today except for the last half hour where he has been crying of stomach ache (this is a new one now). He is in fits of tears.

I never mentioned the night sweats when I went last night as I didn't think it was relevant Blush wish I had now.

Because of this belly ache I don't want to give him ibuprofen I will only give him calpol. He has had a bit of the runs today but I put that down to the amoxicillin.

All I want is my ds to be well again. I hate it when my kids are I'll.
I have had a year say away from doctors and hospitals. Was there all the time with my dd who has a cleft in her throat. This caused her breathing and feeding problems.

I am one of those who believe everything the doctor says and don't really question there decision. I wish I did with her as took 7 months to get to what was causing my dd to be soo poorly.

So now I don't want to be missing some thing more serious but I also don't want to keep pestering the doctors Sad
