Dh just brought ds1 back from the dentist and he's had his two front baby teeth removed. His adult teeth were through properly but behind and the baby teeth weren't even slightly wobbly. Dh was (I thought) just taking him for the dentist to have a look and come up with a plan..

So, basically ds1 has two holes in his gum. And dh forgot to ask what he could eat and when. And now he dentist is closed for lunch and ds1 is hungry..

Any help please?!

he can eat anything he wants or feels like eating....only things to be careful of are things that are sharp and pointy like crisps and raw carrot, and things that could lodge in the holes, such as rice and seeds. Generally its more comfortable to eat warm (not hot) softer foods, but mash, pasta, cooked veg, soup, cheese, ham is all fine. Be dictated by him.
DO NOT brush his teeth or rinse his mouth out for 24 hrs, and try not to let him 'fiddle' with the tooth sockets using his tongue or fingers....if he bleeds (which is unlikely id adult teeth were through, but possible) then just get him to bite on a clean wadded hankie for 5-10 mins and it should stop. Hope thats helps x
