How to get dd active in a fun way?

My dd is only 4, we drive everywhere and recently I have been trying to get fit and noticed my dd is quite unfit.

We have started going to the park with her bike, after half an hour she is really tired and after an hour she is about to fall asleep.

I took her ice skating as I thought it would be fun for us both and give some exercise, but she found it difficult and kept crying.

And if we go shopping and walk around alot she moans all evening about tired legs Hmm.

I want us both to start exercising and enjoying it.

Any fun exercising ideas? That are suitable for both dd and I and not too expensive? Smile

Also just wondering if anyone else's dc's of similar age are like this?

How about helping with dusting round the house?! Lol orrrr um if it's a nice day obstacle courses in your back yard? Playing in The park? How about a first pair of roller skates? Alot easier than skating and when she's got the nack ice skating might be a bit more positive. Swimming? If you have the ££ why not start dance or gymnastics?

Swimming is always fun. Not lengths as such, just walking through the water, splashing etc.

The park/an open space is great for skipping or playing tag. Hide and seek encourages her to move or run too. You could have mini races from one spot to a close tree and gradually move to trees that are further away.

Dance and gymnastics usually take from age 4 so if you have the money they're great for a hobby as well as exercise.

She's going to be tired and she's going to resist, even done in a fun way. Her body isn't used to it so she may crash but teaching her this is part of her life will help and repetition will mean her body adapts.

Trampoline if you've space.
Scooting to and from school-you don't need to go the quickest way.

Some great suggestions Smile

I will look into dance classes again for dd, also I may start scooting to school, possibly even start with a couple of days per week and build up from there Wink
