Toddler Diaorrhea - sorry

A grim subject I know. My 19 month old has been doing the most repulsive nappies for the last few weeks, I think it's toddler diaorrhea, I remember her older brother and sister being the same. She's not pooing any more frequently than normal but when she does, it's horrendous. I had to throw out a vest and sleepsuit this morning

She's happy enough apart from this though, eating and drinking well etc.

I'm just wondering whether I should tinker with her diet a bit and see if that helps? Anyone got any tips for foods to avoid?

DS had/has this. Main things to avoid really are squash drinks/cordials and large amounts of fruit juice. He is 3 now and just occasional has fairly normal poos but most are a bit too interesting - still see whole peas/raisins tangerines in it though.

Avoid a low fat diet, avoid giving a high fibre diet. We saw a paed with DS as he had some other symptoms too but he got the all clear and it has all settled a bit. I think avoiding lots of fruit helps too, but DS loves fruit and I felt it was better to just let him eat it and let him poo

Some good info on here but I would check with GP too if he hasn't been diagnosed.

Thanks that's really helpful. I hadn't realised lack of fat might be an issue, I've been on a diet the last few weeks so family meals have probably been lower fat than usual. I'll address that and see if it helps!
