dd age 2.6 has scarletina, and is steadfastly refusing to take the penicillin. We've disguised it in ice cream/yogurt, and each time she's thrown it up. She's normally great with calpol/nurofen etc.

The doc has just sent out a different one but she's doing the same thing.

I have to say, it's absolutely putrid :(

Help!!!

Is she throwing it up as she takes it or some time later?

not sure I can help with anything meaningful but posting to keep it bumped!

when ds1 had some for tonsilitis which was foul our issue was not being able actually get it into his mouth, we did syringe dipped in capol once in he would keep it down - no idea what to do if she's throwing it up, chocolate milk?? problem is what ever you hide it in will then taste foul... I'll come back if I have anything useful that might help - good luck xxx

Same problem here. I'm convinced we'd do better with tablets - it's the taste he objects to. But GP won't prescribe tablets to a 3 year old in case he chokes. Ridiculous! What are the chances that a supervised child is going to choke on a tablet? If he was going to do that, he'd have choked on peanuts etc before now surely?
