My ds is 12 months and isn't walking but crawling. The flat we're currently is quite cold, especially parts of the living room floor as its over the communal hallway and it's quite a grand big hallway.

But that said, his hands almost all the time are cold. Really cold. Noticeably cold. His feet are quite cold too but he wears socks all the time.

My DH isn't worried but it concerns me a bit. Should I take him to the doc? I think of all things like heart stuff, circulation etc. He's quite pale and sometimes his eyes can look peaky

I'm probably being really neurotic!

I'm interested to see what anyone else says! My 18m old also gets very cold hands, and like yours, is crawling not walking. I think it's mostly because his hands are always out, whereas if my hands are cold, I'd wrap them round a cup of coffee or pull my sleeves over.

I think if he's otherwise healthy, there's nothing to worry about. Extremities (hands and feet) are likely to be colder than the rest of his body. I think you're meant to check the backs of their necks to make sure they're warm enough.

My DD's are exactly the same - but so am I!
Im constantly freezing cold, especially my hands and feet - even when I've been running around after DD's.
Like Whim said, check the back of their necks or their chest, GP told me not to test head because its not reliable.

My 15 month son is exactly the same, warm everywhere except his hands and feet. He doesn't seem to notice though. He is running about everywhere and it doesn't seem to make a difference. His dad's hands are the same though so I guess its just a family trait.

Dd2's little arm goes purple/blue when cold. It's quite alarming the first time when you see it. Apparently the circulation isn't as good in her arm as a hand would be because you wriggle the fingers and get it moving.
