Runny nose, no temperature...should we still stay home?

First time posting!

Just looking for a bit of advice. DH, who normally has the constitution of an ox, has had a very bad cold for the last week. This included spending one day just shivering & sleeping.

We have a 10 wo DD, who now has a very snotty nose & a cough, but no temperature (I've been checking religiously!). She's also in her usual really goood mood. The question really is whether or not I take her down to our usual baby group this morning, or stay away? There are some very small babies there & although I don't think she's going to get worse, it must be a nasty strain of cold to affect DH like this & I'd hate to pass it on. WWYD?

We've also got swimming tonight but I've decided that's not wise!

I wouldn't go with such a little one, if she does pass the cold on to other babies. Whilst colds are rife and hard to avoid, actively taking someone with a cold to a group where there are small babies doesn't seem like the best thing to do - especially because a blocked nose can make it almost impossible for a tiny baby to feed (and they all risk having snotty noses on their Christmas photos! Wink)

Thank you! Really appreciate you taking time to answer such an obvious question !

I really knew that was the most sensible thing to do, but I guess the sleep deprivation & the fact she seems to get so much from being around other babies made me doubt myself!

No worries. Have a lovely day snuggled up indoors in the warm :)
