Swimming when kids have a cold?

Dd had nasty cold earlier this week. Back at nursery now , seems lively enough and no temperature but still got a lot of congestion (runny nose , bit of a cough).

Has swimming tomorrow - do I take her or not? I ask as I was always ultra careful about this because I am asthmatic. Given dd seems ok if snotty I am not sure need to be so careful.

Wwyd?

Unless there are rivers of green trailing snot, and she's well in herself with bad cough or temp, I'd take her.

Unless I had to get in a freezing cold pool with her, then I might leave it a week Wink

Thanks crotch- no colored snot hence dont think it's an infection or worse - just end of the cold .

No reason not to unless she has a fever and is running with snot likely to trail behind her as she swims!

(Oh and swimming is generally good for people with asthma!)

It is sidge and helped me but sometimes if had a cold the chlorine in pool would set me off (am talking old school pools here)

Ahhh I remember those, the pools where the chlorine level was so high your eyes would stream and nose burn even before you got in!
