Quick question re dds jabs

Dd is due to have her 12mo jabs today at 9.30 I'm happy for her to have them but I have 2 quick questions

  1. she has a cmp allergy, and had a reaction to the men c jab as well as another (but I Cambridge remember which) today is the men c booster, mmr and rubella jabs (sp? 3 jabs). Would I be completely crazy to say I only want her to have 1 today and we'd come back for the others? (The receptionist didn't think this would be possible, but I don't think I'm happy going ahead unless they agree)

  2. she has a constant runny nose and alittle cough she hasn't been able to shake off, should I be postponing anyway?

I split the one year boosters/MMR. I wasn't happy with them all in one go. The surgery was fine but it seemed down to the person injecting IYSWIM

I will be splitting my dd's jags and I split ds's. They can't force you to have them all at once.

Does she have a temp? If so then delay them. If she is otherwise fine in herself, eating, playing etc then ask the nurse for her opinion. For me, I'd like to wait until dd was 100% for the mmr but that might never happen!!

No temp, and she's fine in herself. I'll go along and discuss it all with the nurse.

I just don't want to sound like a crazy neurotic mother!

I split ds's 4 month jabs and his 12 month ones because he's had a bad reaction to the 2 month ones. He also had them very late (12 months for the 4 month jabs and about 18 months for the 12 month ones) not out of choice (although I think it was probably a good thing) but because he was constantly ill.

If it helps he was fine except a brief mild temperature for the 12 month jabs.

He's just had his preschool boosters a year late (again because of illness) but I gave them all together as I thought he would cope now, and it would be much harder for him knowing what's coming. He's been totally fine with them.

He does suggest the nurse needs to find something gentle to do the jabs with not "that pricky sharp thing". Grin

Lol dewe. The nurse didn't want to do them today, she took her temp and said while it wasnt high it was borderline. But she agreed that 3 was too many and booked her in next week for just 1 injection :)
