Wanting advice from people who use these remedies to treat every day childhood ailments. I live in London, where is a good centre for advice; where can I buy the kits etc? Not wishing to have a row about vaccinations or anything Smile

Get some pretty bottles and fill them from tap. Add a little sugar. It will have all the memories it needs, and will taste nice.

Oh, and the prettybbottles I'll help the placebo effect. You could even tint the water pink- bound to work on most princess obsessed girls!

Please don't comment if you think it's rubbish, that's fine, I'm interested in finding out about it from people ho know about it.

I do know about it!

So you only want to hear from people who believe that you can treat an illness by:

1 - taking a dose of something that causes the same symptoms that you are trying to get rid of
2 - diluting it in water
3 - banging the bottle rhythmically a certain number of times
4 - repeating steps 2 and 3 until there is not a single molecule of the original substance in the bottle (remembering that the original substance would have caused the symptoms, not cured them)

Is that right?

I bought a kit of about 30odd popular remedies from a friend who is a homeopath. It has lovely little bottles in it (yes I'm a saddo!) and comes with a little book to advise you how and when to use it. I think it may be an Ainsworths one but am having a new kitchen and it is currently lost in the chaos so can't check for you.

shadylane · 12/10/2011 15:06

yes that's right, Trills.

I don't think you can decide on ho posts on your thread. I feel I have a perfect right to point out the logical fallacy behind homeopathy- if water can "remember" the pulsatilla the homeopath puts in it and cure your headache, why can't it remember the poo that was floating around in iit when it was sea and make you ill?

I was actually oking about that seeker, but what I meant was that I didn't want a debate ust useful information from those who do see an alternative to trad methods. And thanks for that explanation of homeopathy!

I haven't used homeopathy on my DC yet but if I did, I would probably approach Neals yard as a first stop.
