DD is 4. We noticed that she rolled on her instep a year ago. The hospital gave us Orthotic insoles, and advised us to make sure she used them as much as possible, which we have done.
Today I took her back to the hospital for her one year on appointment. The doctor, said he could see the problem with her foot, but he was happy with her progress and would discharge her from clinic. When I asked about the insoles, he said " its up to you whether you continue to use them or not.. carry on if you feel it is working".. When I probed a bit further, he said some study in the US proved that the insoles made no difference whatsoever.
This all seems a bit inconsistent to me.. does anyone out there have any experience?
TBH, the problem with her foot doesn't slow her down, or give her any issues, I just think if its something which we can help with, then we probably should.
