Why is there a tissue left? Calling all dentists' help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello All,
My 10 year old ds's milk teeth came out yesterday.
But there is a kind of tissue sticking out left there.
It never happened before.
What is that?
Will it disappear in time?
I couldn't find a good dentist around here, I hope we won't need one atm.

Hi noraa - what do you mean by tissue? What colour is it? Is it hard or soft? It could be the erupting tooth underneath poking out or the top of the dental follicle the "sack" in which the new permanent tooth is growing which will disappear as the new tooth erupts into the mouth (not a dentist by the way but work with them and teeth doing research). In my children it usually took a few days to go if the erupting tooth was still covered by it - but it does look a bit odd when you see it - sort of a bluey/red colour. If you think its a cyst or infection though might be best to seek a professional opinion.

ooh i remember this happening with one of dd's. It was fine tho i have no idea what it was or where it went, but it did go away!

Thank you very much for your answers :).
Mytholmroyd, it looks very similar to the sack type thing you described.
I thought the same, new tooth coming out that's why it looks that way.
But I wanted to be on the safe side and decided to ask here.
Last night when I looked at it I saw it became a bit smaller.
