I don't know what to do

Just discovered my 8 year old has been playing out in the garden in a skirt and no knickers. When I asked why she said her vagina stings. She has said it before, usually later at night when I can't do anything about it. I have suggested she drink more, go to the toilet properly and to go and have a bath now but she has stormed off in a huff complaining about her verruca.

Is there anything I can do or does she need a doctor?

I haven't got any vaseline.

Sudocream won't do any harm even if it is smothered all over the whole area, Fab, genuinely. The amount of sudocream my girls have been through...I should have bought shares Wink

Give her the pot and allow her to apply it to herself, if she won't let you help her. Just make sure she doesn't put her finger back in the tub once she's touched herself. She can either use another finger if she needs more, or use a spoon to get some out of the tub.

Are you sure it couldn't be worms? That gives a very itchy, stingy feeling on the inside. Also, worms come out at night, so makes sense that she has waited until now to tell you. She could have had worms last night, they've gone through the day, and come back out in the evening.

DH is worried about it going inside.

I will go and ask if she is itchy.
