I've been adding cheese or butter to (pretty much) all low birthweight DS's meals since he was weaned at 6 months (EBF til then, he's 15 months now) to help with his weight gain and because he won't eat cheese by itself. Now I've just read even a tiny bit of calcium inhibits iron absorption quite dramatically so dairy foods shouldn't be served with milk. He does get tired frequently during the day, maybe this is why.
I'm worrying about what I've done now. Does anyone know much about this kind of thing?
