Very thirsty DD in the night

For the past few nights my 3yo DD has woken up very thirsty and had two cupfuls of water. She doesn't eat anything salty or that would cause her to be unusually thirsty, has a cup of water available all day and also asks when she wants it refilling.

It is strange that it is only the past couple of nights, the weather hasn't been any hotter than usual and she hasn't done anything differently.

She still wears a pull up at night and I'm having to change it half way through the night.

I just wondered if anyone had any ideas or experience of this?

My DC tend to do that when they're having a growth spurt. I remember being really thirsty in the night early pregnancy, maybe the body just needs it to grow?

DGS barely has 2 small beakers of fluid through the day, but is ridiculously thirsty through the night. All water too. No idea why!

Hello, thank you for your responses, everything just normal then by the sound of it, thank you. Also I did wonder if it is an excuse to come through and see us. Thanks

yy 'I need a drink' is my DCs favourite excuse for a hug in the night too Wink. Both definitely drink more at night during a growth spurth though.
